I think this story makes some vailid points. Over in Afghanistan the women there do not have to worry about how they look. In public they have to be completely covered. Here in the US, a women image determinds alot about them, that why they get so many plastic surgeries. Women should be healthy, people in general should be heathly, but women should look the way the want to. If a women weighs 287 lbs she can wear anything she wants
It's more like the women in Afghanistan don't even get the change to worry what they look like. They more have to worry about getting killed for showing any skin besides the little bit of their face.
ReplyDeleteI disagree that women in the Middle East don't worry about what they look like. I think they worry just as much as American women do and possibly even more it's just about different areas. American women worry about body image, shape, and fitness but the women in the Middle East worry that if the don't wear the right clothing they could be risking their lives. I think both women put their lives at risk to fit a cultural image but American women are more about the body image versus Middle Eastern women being more consered about the clothes.
